Girls Varsity Swim

9/7/12 -Beaver River beat West Canada Valley 50-37 at Beaver River.  Sectional Qualifiers were Keegan Bowman in the 200 IM and 100 Fly and Heather Bush in the 50 Free.  Great job lady Beavers!

9/13/12 - The Girls Varsity Swim Team was defeated by South Lewis 95-84.  Despite the loss, the Beavers had 12 personal/season bests and Heather Bush qualified for Sectionals in 100 Free.

9/15/12 - Beaver River placed 6th in the Lowville Tournament.  The Beavers received second in the Medley Relay that consisted of Heather Bush, Ariel Ortlieb, Keegan Bowman, and Sarah Steiner.  Bethany Preshaw placed 8th in the 200 Free and Keegan Bowman placed second in the 200 IM.

9/18/12 - Beaver River defeated Lowville 52-42.  There were 10 personal bests, 1 relay best time, and 3 first time events for our swimmers.  Leah Lapp swam the 200 IM for the 1st time and missed qualifying for Sectionals by .29 seconds!

9/20/12 - Beaver River was defeated by Carthage 51-42.  Keegan Bowman qualified for Sectionals in the 200 Freestyle.  There were 12 personal best times for the team!

9/25/12 - The Girls Swim Team was defeated by South Jefferson 107-64.  There were 10 personal best times.  Keegan Bowman swam the 500 Free for the first time and qualified for Sectionals.  Great job ladies!

9/27/12 - Beaver River lost a close meet to Watertown 48-43.  There were 13 personal best times recorded and Keegan Bowman broke the school record in the 500 Free.  Qualifying for Sectionals were Leah Lapp in the 200 IM and Keegan Bowman in the 50 Free. 

10/2/12 - The Girls Swim Team was defeated by Indian River 95-81.  Despite their defeat, the Beavers had 6 best times recorded:  Leah Lapp, Keegan Bowman, Alex Davis, Maysa Jannous, and Emily Johnson.

10/4/12 - The Girls Swim Team lost to Thousand Islands 51-42.  Ariel Ortlieb qualified in the 100 Breast and there were 6 personal bests recorded. 

10/9/12 - Beaver River was defeated by South Lewis 55-39.  Sidney Hawksley qualified for Sectionals in the 100 Back.

10/11/12 - The Girls Swim Team lost to West Canada Valley 55-41.  Keegan Bowman qualified for Sectionals in the 100 Free.

10/17/12 - The Girls Swim Team lost to Lowville 55-40.  Emily Johnson had 3 personal best times, Srah Steiner had 2 personal best times, and there were a total of 11 personal bests recorded for the meet.  Alex Davis swam the 500 Free for the first time and Ariel Ortlieb dropped 8 seconds in the 200 Free.  Great job ladies!

11/2/12 - Swim team took 8th place overall at Sectionals in Rome.  There were 7 personal bests recorded.  Keegan Bowman won 2nd in the Fly and 100 Back while Heather Bush took 7th in the 50 Free and the 100 Free.  The Medley Relay took 6th which consisted of Sidney Hawksley, Ariel Ortlieb, Keegan Bowman, and Heather Bush. The 400 Free Relay team took 6th which consisted of Heather Bush, Sidney Hawksley, Sarah Steiner, and Keegan Bowman. 

11/3/12 - Sectionals in Nottingham - there were 6 personal best times recorded!  The 400 Free Relay which consisted of Bethany Preshaw, Sarah Steiner, Sidney Hawksley, and Keegan Bowman had the best time of the season!  Keegan Bowman broke her 100 Fly and 100 Back records again!  Wonderful season ladies!
