Hello BRCS community! I would like to start by introducing myself. My name is Nicole Lyndaker and I am a 2000 BRCS graduate. I have 6 children attending BRCS with 1 at home. I have been the BRCS Home & School president for 1 full year.
BRCS Home & School is a lot like PTO or PTA. Home and School members are parents and teachers that meet together each month to plan fun educational activities for the kids and their families. We would love for you to join us! Parents, grandparents, and community members are all welcome. There are a lot of places where we need volunteers!
We had our first meeting on Sept 15th where we discussed fundraising, Grandparent’s Day (held in June), the Scholastic Book Fairs, and the Harlem superstars (in November). We are also selling stadium blankets that will be a nice addition to any sports event this fall. The first Scholastic Book Fair will be in November during parent teacher conferences. There will be a lot to do that includes set-up, helping children purchase books, and the tear- down of the Book Fair. More information will be sent home with students.
Lastly we talked about October being National Stomp Out Bullying month! Bullying is an awful thing that happens to many kids. We have planned some events for the students to bring awareness about bullying and how to handle bullying.
We meet in the High School Library on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Our next meeting is October 20th at 6:30 p.m. in the High School Library and we hope to see you there!
To establish a closer relationship between the parents and teachers of Beaver River Central School to help create an inviting learning environment that will enable each student to achieve his/her highest level of learning.

We are always looking for parent, guardian, and grandparent volunteers. We need help for the Scholastic Book Fairs, Kids Korner Christmas Shopping, Fall Costume Parade, and Grandparents Day. If you are interested, please contact our President by email or attend a monthly meeting. If you are unable to attend the meetings but would like to help we are always looking for volunteers to bake items, make phone calls and assist in getting volunteers. As always, sending in the collection items is a great way to help!
