BRCSD Foundation

During the 2015-16 school year the  Beaver River Central School  Board of Education adopted a Resolution to partner with the Northern New York Community Foundation (NNYCF) to form an educational foundation.  The purpose of this foundation is to support the Beaver River Central School District’s mission as well as its educational programs.  The foundation is not intended to supplant mandated funding, rather it is intended to enhance the educational programs.   The Foundation is an independent entity, that works collaboratively with BRCS to provide supplemental resources to enhance the diverse programs of the school district.

With two types of funds available (annual fund and long term fund) alumni and community members can leave a legacy that impacts our children for years to come!

As a challenge the Class of 2016 has given a significant donation to our Annual Fund.  Students from the class decided to leave a legacy for generations.  With this kick-start, the Foundation is hoping to raise a  total between both Annual Fund and Long Term Fund of $100,000 by July 1, 2017.  This fund will help the foundation support the school in enhancing both classroom projects as well as district projects.

Some of these projects may include:

· Enhancement of the current playground.

· Development of Project Based Learning Projects for  K-12 Students.

· Enhancing the STEAM initiative (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and
Mathematics) to help our students meet 21st century learning skills.

· Improvement of the Alumni Park
