Universal Pre-K Registration Information

Pre-K

Beaver River Central School District operates a New York State grant-funded full-day pre-kindergarten program at Beaver River Elementary School. This opportunity is open to Beaver River residents. Children are selected for the program through a random selection process in June of the previous school year.  (Note: if the number of applicants exceeds the number of available seats in the program, the District will utilize a lottery to determine enrollment).  Families must register their students by May 1 and have them come to registration in June before the student is eligible for the lottery.

Lottery Information:

Registration will be open from February-May of each school year. Children are chosen for the program through a random lottery held in June. (Note: if the number of applicants exceeds the number of available seats in the program, the District will utilize a lottery to determine enrollment).  After the lottery drawing, a waitlist will be kept in the event of a withdrawal of registration. Waitlist families will be chosen if a vacancy opens, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Families must submit a completed application to be considered for the school year waitlist.

To qualify for this pre-K opportunity, students must be four years old by December 1 of the school year and be residents of Beaver River CSD.

Those with specific questions about the registration packet mailed to you please contact Beaver River Central School Elementary Secretary, Sheila Neddo at 346-1211 ext. 510.
