FAMILY SWIM PROGRAM NOTIFICATION

Family Swim Program Notification

We are excited to announce that Family Swim will begin on Wednesday, October 1st and continue throughout the school year, as long as after-school activities are not canceled. Certified lifeguards will be on duty, and the high school locker rooms will be open for use. These free swim sessions will run from 6:30–7:30 p.m.

To ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone, please carefully review and follow the guidelines below:

• Supervision Requirement: Any student younger than 9th grade must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire session. This includes supervision in both the pool area and the locker rooms.
• Sign-In Procedure: A parent/guardian must personally walk down to the pool deck and sign in their child each session on the clipboard provided. If a parent is medically unable to walk down, a lifeguard will bring the sign-in sheet to them.
• Unsupervised Children: Students who arrive without a supervising parent will not be allowed to participate and will be asked to contact their parents for immediate pickup.
• Liability Form: A district physical injury release form must be signed the first time a family attends. This form will be kept on file for the remainder of the school year. Attached is the Liability Form.

 We want every family to enjoy this opportunity safely. Please help us by following the procedures. If they are not upheld, the district may need to end the program.
